Bingo
Bingo is a timed collection game. A player is given a 5x5 card of 25 Pokemon and marks a square off by catching that Pokemon. Completing rows, columns, diagonals and the full card each pay a reward. A card lasts 6 hours from the moment it is started, and the clock does not stop.
The card is opened with /bingo. Cards are not handed out automatically: the first screen explains the rewards, and the timer begins only when the card is started from it. A new card can be started every 6 hours, measured from when the previous card began.
The card
| Grid | 5x5 (25 squares) |
|---|---|
| Guaranteed squares | 11 Common, 7 Uncommon, 5 Rare, 2 Ultra Rare |
| Lines available | 12 (5 rows, 5 columns, 2 diagonals) |
| Card duration | 6 hours |
| Between cards | 6 hours |
Both diagonals count as completed lines and pay the same as a row or a column. A single catch can therefore finish more than one line at once, and the centre square sits on both diagonals.
Rarity tiers
Every Pokemon that can appear on a card belongs to one of four rarity tiers, set by how likely it is to turn up in a spawn taken at random anywhere on the server. This accounts for how many biomes and times of day a Pokemon can appear in, not just how heavily it is weighted where it does appear, so something restricted to one or two biomes ranks as rarer than its raw spawn weight alone would suggest.
A card is not drawn at random from the whole pool. Every card is guaranteed 11 Common, 7 Uncommon, 5 Rare and 2 Ultra Rare, which fills the 25 squares of a 5x5 grid exactly, so two cards are comparable in difficulty.
No Pokemon appears twice on the same card.
728 Pokemon are eligible in total: 126 Common, 209 Uncommon, 188 Rare and 205 Ultra Rare.
Common (126 Pokemon, 11 per card)
Uncommon (209 Pokemon, 7 per card)
Rare (188 Pokemon, 5 per card)
Ultra Rare (205 Pokemon, 2 per card)
