Curry

Curry is a dish cooked in a Cooking Pot from Berries, with an optional curry ingredient for flavour and quality. Cooking is a short minigame of fanning the flames and stirring the pot; the better the result, the higher the curry's class. Eating curry heals the party, grants experience and friendship, and a finished dish can attract a wild Pixelmon that joins the team.

Cooking curry

Curry is made at a Cooking Pot, crafted from a cauldron and Aluminum Ingots. Toss in your berries and ignite with a Flint and Steel! Interact to fan and stir. Place up to ten berries in the pot (and, in the dedicated ingredient slot, at most one curry ingredient), then light it with Flint and Steel to start cooking.

Cooking runs in two timed stages. First comes a fanning stage: interact with the pot to fan the flames. Then comes a stirring stage: interact to stir. Each action builds points toward a sweet spot — too little or too much both lower the score, so pace the interactions rather than spamming them. When cooking finishes, the dish pops out of the pot.

Quality and class

Every curry is scored, and the score sets its class, from Koffing (worst) to Charizard (best). The score combines four things:

• Berry quality — the average flavour strength of the berries used, plus a bonus for using a greater variety of berries.
• Fanning — up to 40 points, highest when fanned just the right amount.
• Stirring — up to 40 points, highest when stirred just the right amount.
• Ingredient bonus — a flat boost from the curry ingredient used (see below).

The theoretical maximum score is 173, though around 150 is the practical ceiling. The class is then read from the score:

Curry restores every party member at once. Higher classes heal more, and from Milcery class up they also cure status conditions and (from Copperajah) restore PP.

Flavour

Berries carry five flavours — spicy, dry, sweet, bitter, and sour. Whichever flavour the added berries total highest becomes the curry's flavour, but only if it leads every other flavour by more than 20 points; otherwise the curry comes out unflavoured. A curry's flavour decides the dish's flavour text and, by default, the nature of any Pixelmon it attracts.

Adding a curry ingredient changes the dish that is produced and grants a flat score boost. Rarer, harder-to-make ingredients give a larger boost. Cooking with berries alone makes plain Curry. Some ingredients are crafted; others are obtained from loot, shops, or as drops.

Attracting wild Pixelmon

Finishing a curry can attract a wild Pixelmon, drawn by the smell. The chance depends on the curry's class — better curry is far more likely to attract one:

The attracted Pixelmon tries to join your party directly. It is caught using a ball from your bag, preferring Poké Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball in that order; one such ball is consumed. If you have no usable ball, or your party is full, it leaves without joining. Its nature is set to match the curry's flavour. The curry's class also sets the IV range rolled for the attracted Pixelmon, as shown above. A Pixelmon that joins this way is marked with the Curry Mark ribbon.
