Z-Moves are powerful attacks a Pokémon can unleash once per battle by holding a Z-Crystal that matches one of its moves. A damaging move becomes a high-power Z-Move, while a status move gains a bonus effect.
Requirements
Using a Z-Move needs a Z-Ring worn by the trainer, the matching Z-Crystal held by the Pokémon, and a compatible move in its moveset. See Z-Crystals for the crystal list.
Type Z-Moves
Each type has one generic Z-Move, shared by every damaging move of that type:
Signature Z-Moves
These Z-Moves are exclusive to a single species and base move:
Status Z-Moves
Every status move has a Z form (named Z-<move>, e.g. Z-Agility) that grants a bonus effect when used with the matching type crystal. 269 such Z-Moves exist; each is documented on its own page.
