Spawn Calculator

The Spawn Calculator estimates the chance of a chosen Pokemon spawning under specific biome, location, time, weather, height, light, moon, and structure conditions. It supports both the standard wild spawner and the separate Legendary spawner.

How it works

Standard spawn results compare matching rarity weights after one valid spawn position has been selected. This is a conditional local-pool share, not the chance across the spawner's whole scanned block volume. Legendary results use the separate Legendary pool and its flat-distinct selection, together with the configured attempt interval and success chance. The same calculator is linked from each species page under Spawns.

The Consecutive times setting evaluates a block of consecutive times of day and weights each time by its real in-game length, so longer times (such as Night) count more than short ones (such as Midnight). With Strict block enabled, Find best chance only accepts blocks where the species spawns during every time in the block.

Location types to search lists every location type the chosen Pokemon can spawn in. Find best chance only considers the enabled types, so location types that are impractical to reach can be excluded. The selection is remembered in the browser across Pokemon. Locking the Location type field searches only the selected type instead.

Each result also recommends a strong type lure. A strong lure triples the rarity weight of every standard spawn whose form has the lure's type, so the recommended lure is the one that raises the chosen Pokemon's share the most, taking into account which competing spawns share that type. When every competing spawn shares the boosted type, no type lure changes the share. Lures do not affect the Legendary spawner.

For location types, Water means the open-water surface layer with water directly below it. Water (covered from sky) requires an opaque block somewhere above it, while Above the water surface means the air block immediately above the water.

Limitations

Mega Boss spawning is not included. Party-lead requirements, calendar requirements, non-biome anticonditions, and the exact distribution of viable locations around a player are not modelled. Ordinary /checkspawns can therefore report a much lower whole-slice percentage for a thin location type. Legendary wait times therefore assume that a viable location exists when an attempt succeeds.
