Charms and Incenses are two families of special items in Pixelmon. Charms are equipped by the trainer and grant a passive bonus while carried, whereas incenses are held by a Pokémon to boost its moves or, for most of them, to produce a baby Pokémon when bred.
Charms
Charms are rare items the trainer equips rather than holds on a Pokémon. Once equipped, each one applies its bonus passively; only one of each is needed.
| Charm | Effect |
|---|---|
| Shiny Charm | Increases the chance of encountering and hatching Shiny Pokémon while the trainer is carrying it. |
| Oval Charm | Increases how often a compatible pair in the Day Care or Ranch Block produces an Egg. |
| Exp. Charm | Increases the experience Pokémon gain from battles. |
| Catching Charm | Improves the chance of a Critical Catch when throwing a Poké Ball. |
| Mark Charm | Lets the trainer re-roll the Mark on a Pokémon. |
Incenses
Incenses are held items. Each raises one of the holder's stats or move types in battle, and most also change which baby hatches when a specific Pokémon breeds while holding it.
| Incense | Effect |
|---|---|
| Odd Incense | An Odd Incense is a held item that increases the power of the holder's Psychic-type moves by 20%. An Odd Incense can also be held by a Mr. Mime that is breeding in order to produce a Mime Jr. Egg; otherwise, a Mr. Mime Egg will be produced instead. |
| Rock Incense | A Rock Incense is a held item that boosts the power of the holder's Rock-type moves by 20%. It can also be held by a Sudowoodo that is breeding in order to produce a Bonsly Egg; otherwise, a Sudowoodo Egg will be produced instead. |
| Sea Incense | A Sea Incense is a type of incense that can be held by a Pokémon to raise the power of the holder's Water-type moves by 20%. It also must be held by a breeding Marill or Azumarill to produce an Azurill Egg; otherwise, the Egg will hatch into a Marill. |
| Wave Incense | A Wave Incense is a held item that raises the power of the holder's Water-type moves by 20%. If a Mantine holds a Wave Incense while it breeds, it will produce a Mantyke Egg. |
| Rose Incense | A Rose Incense is a held item that increases the power of the holder's Grass-type moves by 20%. It can also be held by a Roselia or a Roserade to obtain a Budew Egg when breeding; without a Rose Incense, a Roselia Egg will be created instead. |
| Pure Incense | A Pure Incense is a held item that can be held by a Chimecho to produce a Chingling Egg when breeding; without a Pure Incense, a Chimecho Egg will be produced instead. |
| Luck Incense | A Luck Incense is a type of incense that doubles the amount of PokéDollars received after defeating an NPC Trainer if held by a Pokémon who participated in the battle. It can also be held by a Chansey or a Blissey when breeding to produce a Happiny Egg; without a Luck Incense, a Chansey Egg will be produced instead. |
| Lax Incense | A Lax Incense is a held item that increases the holder's evasion by 10%. If held by a Wobbuffet that is breeding, the resulting Egg will hatch into a Wynaut instead of another Wobbuffet. |
| Full Incense | A Full Incense is a type of incense that causes the Pokémon holding it to move last in battle. This will not occur if the opponent uses a move of lower priority than the user's move. If a Full Incense is held by a Snorlax that is breeding, the resulting Egg will contain a Munchlax instead of another Snorlax. |
Crafting incenses
Every incense is brewed in an Incense Burner from three of a specific Berry:
